Over on Twitter transphobic bigots are openly calling for genocide while the website’s owner cheers with glee.
Apple must pull Twitter from their App store. They must not and cannot endorse this hatred and terrorism.

"Live a good life. If there are gods and they are just, then they will not care how devout you have been, but will welcome you based on the virtues you have lived by. If there are gods, but unjust, then you should not want to worship them. If there are no gods, then you will be gone, but will have lived a noble life that will live on in the memories of your loved ones."

- Marcus Aurelius

Have you ever seen an oak tree dance?

Britain is full of 'lost' rainforests, predominantly in the southwest and northwest of England, west Wales and the west coast of Scotland. There are other areas where the conditions are perfect too, like this one in the Peak District National Park.

When the rain starts and the cloud base drops into the rainforest, the trees come alive. Everywhere you look, there is magic and mystery.

This Resina Calendula is slightly snow tolerant in my zone 6 climate. Saving these bio-diverse seeds from my colder climate to share on the seed savers exchange. Seeds were to be shared!

#GardenFriends are you here? Hoping yes. Please connect . Will love staying in touch in this beautiful platform. Wishing everyone a very happy evening 💖

Firstly, I'd just like to say thank you to all the people who have liked, boosted and commented on my images, and to all the new followers I have. It's rather humbling. 😊

Today's shot comes from a magical day in the Scottish #Highlands, a few years ago, when I was photographing red squirrels.

These charming characters are incredibly agile and can jump great distances between trees.

Here I managed to capture one as it appears to be flying down my lens.

Picking bigotry over therapy

Even if it weren't based on lies, the anti-trans movement is inherently fascist.

It's all about telling doctors how to doctor, parents how to parent and humans how to human. Based on nothing.

From the depths of my eternal soul, I beg you to fix your own goddamn life first.

With very limited recorded sightings in the last 100 years, the rare Crimson Speckled has made some thrilling appearances this autumn!

Reports from across the South of England have been springing up as an unexpected, yet well-received, influx of sightings.📍

Time for a snail race. Place your bets.

The population of our planet 🌎 will hit 8 billion in just a few days. It’s more than doubled IN MY LIFETIME 🤯 !

Another quick PSA for the newcomers:

There is no Mastodon.

As in, there is no entity out there called Mastodon that needs to "get it together" or "make things easier."

Every server is a unique collection of hardware and software operated by a unique team of (usually) volunteer humans funded by (usually) donations.

Some days will be smoother than others. We new folks have flooded the network. Cut the volunteers some slack. Better yet, offer support.

There once was a spaceman called Musk,
Who hollowed the bird to a husk,
We migrated and flew,
To find friends old and new,
And now we are fans of the tusk 🦣

new to this so, hi

would really like some , , , and/or friends :)

I have encountered more image descriptions on Mastodon in 24 hours than I have in Twitter in a couple of years. Seriously. I'm not exaggerating.
As a blind person, this means a lot to me. If you read this and you describe your images, thank you so, so, so much on behalf of all of us. If you don't, now you know you'll be helping random Internet strangers make sense of your posts by typing in a few more words than usual.

Serious question:
I was a casual Twitter user and still am on IG, but like to explore new things, so here I am. I’m minding my own biz looking for people to follow using hashtags because the orange buffoon was in my town and I was pissed. I find a LOT of posts of course, but person with coffee pic catches my eye and I start reading persons posts…suddenly I determine they are 1, in the same town, and 2, work at the same place I do. Person confirms and they’re just as baffled (and probably freaked out because they’ve openly ranted about said employer). What are the chances?!?! 🤯

Reminder: In an off-year election, the GOP should be cruising to an easy landslide. The only reason they’re not is because through a stolen Supreme Court they robbed us of a basic freedom most of us were born with. Tens of millions of us will restore Roe & basic abortion rights.

Stop calling it an “Adam’s apple”. It’s called a ‘larynx’ and everybody has one - just people with more testosterone and less estrogen during puberty tend to have a more visually pronounced larynx. It just perpetuates religious nonsense (Adam ate the apple causing humans to learn shame) and literal untruth (everyone has a larynx).
